During our journey to Tokyo, we discovered some of the most fascinating and impressive places in this bustling metropolis. Our adventure began in the vibrant Shibuya district, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the famous Shibuya Crossing and felt the unmistakable pulse of the city. This spot is an absolute must-see for any traveler visiting Tokyo.

Another highlight of our trip was visiting the Meiji Shrine and the Imperial Palace. Here, we delved deep into authentic Japanese culture and strolled through the beautiful, serene gardens surrounding these historic sites.

The Sensō-ji Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan, was another standout. We entered through the impressive Kaminarimon Gate and were captivated by the spiritual atmosphere and the splendid architecture of this sacred place.

A true paradise for tech enthusiasts, anime lovers, and Pokemon fans is Akihabara. We lost ourselves in the vast arcade games spread across multiple floors and marveled at the variety of electronic gadgets and fan merchandise available.

For night owls, Shin-juku is the perfect place to experience Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife. And if you’re looking for a unique place to stay, we highly recommend the Henn na Hotel Tokyo Asakusabashi* where robots handle the check-in process. 

One of our most practical discoveries was the Pasmo Card, which allows you to top up your balance directly via your phone and use most trains in Tokyo – a real game-changer for getting around the city.

Our visit luckily coincided with cherry blossom season, and we were able to discover the most beautiful spots in the city to witness this unique natural event. Whether it was with owls, hedgehogs, or teddy bears, each cafe offered a unique atmosphere and special experience.

On Takeshita Street, we discovered many unique cafes and shops that invited us to browse and linger. And for rainy days, Teamlabs and the Mirai-Kan provided fascinating experiences in art and science.

A real insider tip is the Okuno Building, which houses hidden art galleries and is worth a visit. The Tokyo Tower, another landmark of the city, impressed us not only with its architecture but also with a remarkable temple nearby.

Culinarily, our visit to Uobei was a highlight – here we enjoyed affordable and delicious sushi that was simply unbeatable. For special souvenirs, Don Quijote was the perfect destination, a true mega-center for souvenirs offering a variety of unique keepsakes.

To wrap up our trip, we strolled through small, traditional bars and enjoyed a wonderful view of the city. It was a perfect ending to our journey of discovery through Tokyo, a city full of contrasts, culture, and culinary delights.
