Starting in Miami: Sunshine, Street Art & City Vibes
Our journey begins in Miami, a city full of life, color, and contrast. Between sleek skyscrapers and historic Art Deco buildings, Miami offers both beach life and urban energy.
One of our favorite places? The Wynwood Walls – a massive outdoor museum for street art lovers. Every wall bursts with creativity and color, perfect for exploring and snapping a few photos.
Of course, no Miami visit is complete without seeing Miami Beach. Along Ocean Drive, palm trees sway over vintage cars, beach bars and pastel-colored buildings – the very image of Florida’s cool, coastal charm.
Down the Overseas Highway: From Miami to Key West
From Miami, we hit the road – heading south over the iconic Overseas Highway. This scenic drive stretches across dozens of small islands connected by bridges, with endless ocean views on both sides.
At the end of the road lies Key West, the southernmost point of the continental USA. With its laid-back vibe, colorful wooden houses, and stunning sunsets, Key West feels more like the Caribbean than the mainland. Don’t miss the evening crowd at Mallory Square, where musicians, artists, and travelers gather to celebrate the sunset.
Into the Wild: Airboats & Kayaks in the Everglades
After soaking up the relaxed island atmosphere, we continue inland to the wild heart of Florida – the Everglades National Park. This vast subtropical wetland is home to alligators, turtles, exotic birds, and more.
We tried two unforgettable ways to explore the Everglades.
First, a thrilling airboat tour, where we skimmed across the water at high speed and spotted alligators along the way. Then, a peaceful kayak trip through quiet mangrove tunnels, where we experienced the park’s beauty up close and at our own pace.
Final Stop: Theme Park Dreams in Orlando
Our last stop is Orlando, the world capital of theme parks. This city is all about fun, fantasy, and unforgettable experiences.
We visited Universal’s Islands of Adventure, where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter blew us away with its stunning design and rides.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom was another favorite – combining wildlife, roller coasters, and storytelling in a way only Disney can. And for cooling off? Volcano Bay, a water park like no other.
