The Church of our Lady is the landmark of Dresden. It was almost completely destroyed in the Second World War and reopened in 2005. The view from above is beautiful. By the way, Dresden is also called "Florence on the Elbe".
The Semper Opera House is a highlight for culture enthusiasts. A guided tour is available from 7 Euros per person and is really recommendable. The Zwinger, one of the most famous baroque buildings in whole Germany, is only a few meters away.
When the weather is fine, it is worth taking a walk on the Brühlsche Terrace, directly on the Elbe - or on the Königsufer on the other side of the river.
In the Neustadt there are many alternative shops and cosy cafés. The Kunsthofpassage is very cute, here you can treat yourself to a delicious cake!

The Pfunds dairy is probably the most beautiful in the world. You will find many dairy products to take away. A glass of milk costs 1 Euro :-)
In the Gläsernen Manufaktur (Transparent Factory) you can see how the cars are produced by Volkswagen. The Großer Garten (large garden) is directly behind the factory. A great place to relax and stroll. The best way to get here is by tram lines 10 or 13.
It is worth going to Loschwitz for an afternoon. You can reach Loschwitz with different bus lines. Take the suspension railway up for a great view over all of Dresden!
You can end the evening at the Restaurant Sophienkeller . Here you will find many delicious, hearty dishes at fair prices. Our recommendation is the Saxon Sauerbraten.
