Welcome to the City of Mozart
Salzburg, Austria’s fourth-largest city, captivates visitors with its unique blend of history, music, and architecture. Famous as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, it draws travelers from all over the world. But Salzburg is much more than music: the Old Town, with its baroque facades, charming alleys, and views of the surrounding Alps, makes every walk a memorable experience.
The Old Town – Baroque Heart of the City
Salzburg’s Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and perfect for a leisurely stroll. The Getreidegasse, one of the city’s most famous streets, enchants with its ornate gables, historic shopfronts, and boutique stores. Up High – Hohensalzburg Fortress
The Hohensalzburg Fortress towers over the city and is one of the largest fully preserved medieval fortresses in Europe. You can reach it on foot, by funicular, or via elevator, and the climb is worth every step. From the top, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the Old Town, the Salzach River, and the surrounding Alps.
