Münster is a destination for young people.

The city has been honoured several times for its high quality of life. Most people travel here by bike, for example on the five-kilometer-long promenade or around the lake "Aasee".

The historic city center around Prinzipalmarkt is a popular postcard image. Münster's historic town hall is known as one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Germany. St. Lamberti is the city's landmark. From the church tower, Münster's tower keeper, Martje Saljé, watches over residents and visitors.

The people of Münster are very warm and cheerful. You can feel this throughout the city. Just outside the city is the Allwetterzoo. Almost 3,000 animals live here.
