We travel to the capital of Greece: Athens. The world famous sight of the city is the Acropolis. It is a city fortress of ancient Greece and was dedicated to the city goddess Athena.

In our video "Athens in 5 minutes" we will first guide you through the Old Town, which is located close to the Acropolis. It is divided into three quarters: The picturesque Pláka (especially beautiful in the evening), Psirrí and Monastiráki. In the Athens market hall we eat meze and drink typical Greek coffee.

For the best views and photo opportunities, we hike up several hills in Athens: Lycabettus Hill offers a beautiful view. It is located in the center of Athens. Philopappos Hill is the highest point in the southern part of Athens with 147.4m. And there is Areopagus.

Bubbling molecular cocktails can be found in the Gazi neighborhood. Together with the Kerameikos district it is very fancy here. Artists and activists are everywhere between the run-down house facades. In the evening, there are loud beats everywhere. A hip place for everyone.

And for a day trip to one of the many islands around Athens, we recommend the island Aegina. From the port Piraeus you can take a boat in the morning. On Aegina you rent a jeep and discover the pistachio island under blue sky and sunshine. What could be more beautiful? :)
